Can you produce under our own brand?
Yes. Private label covers nameplate and label, carton print, manual language and packing marks. Branding changes on an existing model are the fastest route; a new model follows the ODM sequence instead.
LEADTOP · STEEL FURNITURE B2B
OEM work adapts an existing steel furniture model to your brand and market. ODM work develops a model that does not exist yet. Both run through the same sequence: brief, feasibility, drawing, sample, approval, production. This page describes what each stage involves, what it costs in time and what has to be decided before tooling starts.
The distinction is not academic, because it changes where the risk sits.
If your requirement can be met by adapting an existing model, that is usually the shortest path to a shipping order. New tooling is worth its cost when the product itself is the differentiator.
Each change has a cost consequence, sometimes in unit price and sometimes only in tooling or approval time. The quotation separates the two so you can see what you are paying for.
Tooling ownership, exclusivity and the right to reuse a design are agreed in writing at the start of an ODM project, not assumed at the end.
For most importers the packaging is where private label is won or lost. The work covers carton print and layout, inner protection, hardware bag labelling, assembly instructions in your language, barcode and carton marks, and the pallet or loose-load pattern your warehouse expects. Artwork is approved against a printed proof rather than a screen image, because colour and registration behave differently on corrugated board.
Packaging decisions also drive freight: a carton 10 mm larger on two dimensions can reduce container loading enough to change the landed cost. Loading is calculated from the approved carton size.
If some of that is missing, the project can still start with the reference and the volume expectation; the rest is filled in during the feasibility review.

Ownership, exclusivity and reuse rights are agreed in writing at the start of the project and recorded in the quotation. A design developed for one buyer is not resold to another buyer without that agreement.
It depends on the structure, the number of new parts and the finishing requirement, so tooling is quoted after the concept review rather than estimated on this page. The quotation separates tooling from unit price.
MOQ is set per project: a private-label run on an existing model has a different threshold from a new tooled model with a pilot run. Both are stated in the quotation for the specific configuration.
Colour is matched to a physical reference and approved on a sample before production. Gloss level and substrate affect the result, so approval is against a coated sample of the actual sheet, not a screen colour.
Yes, a mutual NDA can be signed before drawings or concepts are exchanged. Technical documents are kept with the project record and are not published.
Packaging structure, carton print, inner protection and manual layout can be developed with the product. Artwork is approved on a printed proof, and the approved carton size is what the container loading is calculated from.
